Story:
The story follows Ian Chance who is introduced as a shattered and tortured soul. It is immediately clear that something very tragic has happened in Ian’s life. It is hinted that this involved a young girl, as he clings to a worn photograph of a young girl through the story.
While he continues to drink and drive. Searching for something he will never find.
Theme:
The theme follows the title. Ian made a choice to drink and drive.
Sean made a choice to allow Ian, only warning of the dangers of being caught.
Ian dealt with the tragedy by choosing to forget and then change his memories. He then made a choice to blame and take revenge out on others.
Revenge doesn’t heal, but only causes more pain and more confusion.
Synopsis
It's a story about Ian. He sits in a bar drinking alone, pondering life and trying to forget a car crash in which he lost his only daughter.
Ian tries to block out the memory of that night, the events of which unfold during the story. Images of Ian’s confused and clouded memories lead up to the fatal night of the accident.
He stalks and finally attacks the driver in a bar, asking for answers and looking for revenge.
The final scene reveals that Ian continues to hunt the man responsible for killing his daughter.
Or is he?
Inspired by visual styles and stories from: Memento, Fisher King and Alfred Hitchcock (presents): Revenge.

The Ides of March are upon us. I bet Ceasar could have used a blog on that day. Instead of "beware of Ides of March." It could have read "watch out for men with knives." Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first read "Choices", Gene Loveland & I had just finished filming another project called "King City". My character dies. I enjoyed the script "Choices". Nice twist.
ReplyDeleteWell, then Gene Loveland sent more scripts. All from Sean Ryan, writer & executive producer of "Choices". My first reaction was funny. "Is this guy for real?". Gene replies, with his big doe eyes that you will all see, as he portrays the role of "Ian Chance" in "Choices". Directed by me, Michael J Kirkland.
Any who... Gene Replies "I know", to affirm my suspicion. Then I looked to Gene and said, "stop looking at me like that. I'm going to cry...." Brief awkward pause. "I can film this!" Gene replies by nodding. "I know!". Cause he and I get to act in them all.
Plus Sean helped write the script "King City".
Feels like a perfect match.
Long story short is that we have all have to decided to work together again.
Currently we are still in pre production
And the link works. Excellent.
